The Snyder Center for Project Excellence, powered by the PMI Delaware Valley Chapter (PMI-DVC), offers a PMP® Study Group that gives you a focused environment to review concepts, work through practice questions, and stay accountable with other experienced project professionals.

Our study group mentors understand both the course content and the realities of the PMP® exam. They know how the exam is structured and will help you organize your study time so you can make steady progress.

    The structure, support, and accountability of the group help you turn what you learned in class into real exam readiness.

  • This study group is designed for professionals who:

    • Have completed, or are close to completing, a PMP® Exam Prep course

    • Are actively preparing to sit for the PMP® exam

    • Already meet, or are close to meeting, PMI’s PMP® eligibility requirements

    The PMP® is not an entry level certification. It is intended for practitioners who already have significant experience leading and directing project work.

  • You will meet regularly with the same group of peers, review key topics together, and work through practice questions and exam strategies. The goal is to keep you moving forward with structure, support, and accountability as you prepare for your PMP® exam.

  • During the PMP® Study Group, you will:

    • Refresh concepts from your PMP® Exam Prep course across people, process, and business environments

    • Discuss exam style questions and understand why answers are correct

    • Talk about how to manage your time during the exam and how to approach tricky questions

    • Build a realistic study and exam timeline that fits your schedule

    Mentors and facilitators will share tips drawn from their own PMP® experience and help you focus on what matters most for exam readiness.

  • The Study Group is guided by a Facilitator and Moderators who are experienced with the PMP® content and exam. They support group discussions, answer questions, recommend helpful resources, and share insights on how to prepare effectively.

  • The PMP® Study Group is:

    • Complimentary for PMI Delaware Valley Chapter members

    • Open to non members with a suggested 25 dollar chapter donation to participate

    Participants must already be members of PMI.org in order to join a local chapter. If you are not yet a member of the PMI Delaware Valley Chapter, you can join through the chapter website.

  • To participate in the PMP® Study Group, you must:

    • Be a member in good standing of the PMI Delaware Valley Chapter, or be registered for an Exam Prep class

    • Commit to the full study schedule of the group

    • Contribute to the learning by participating in discussions and activities

    • Plan to schedule your exam within 30 days of completing the study group

  • No. The PMP® Study Group does not qualify as contact hours toward the PMP® educational requirements. Study groups are intended to support candidates who have already met, or are close to meeting, the eligibility requirements for their chosen credential.

  • Plan to set aside regular study time between sessions and after the course ends. Many students find that a few hours each week to review notes, complete practice questions, and revisit key concepts helps them feel ready and confident before they schedule the exam. Students have reported taking three to six months after completion of the course to study for the exam.
