PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)®
The PMI-ACP® certification is a powerful next step for professionals who want to deepen their agile skills and grow their careers in modern project delivery. Earning the PMI-ACP® shows that you understand how agile works in practice and can apply its principles across real-world projects.
The PMI-ACP® recognizes candidates who are experienced with agile approaches such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and hybrid ways of working. PMI®, the world’s leading authority on project management, created the PMI-ACP® to acknowledge practitioners who have demonstrated their ability to help teams deliver value in fast-changing environments.
To obtain this globally respected certification, you must meet specific eligibility requirements and pass a comprehensive exam that focuses on real-life agile scenarios. Agile practitioners helped shape the PMI-ACP® exam so that the questions reflect the challenges and decisions you face when working with agile teams.

You do need real experience working on agile teams to qualify for the PMI-ACP® exam, but that experience can come from many settings. You may have worked on Scrum teams, Kanban teams, or hybrid projects that used agile practices for planning and delivery. During the course, we will help you think through your background in terms of PMI’s requirements. If you are very new to agile, you may want to consider our Foundations or CAPM® pathway first, then return to PMI-ACP® once you have more experience. Because PMI.org is the source of truth for PMI-ACP® eligibility, you should always review PMI’s current standards to understand the experience required.
