About The Snyder Center

Honoring a Legacy.
Empowering the Future.

Practical learning. Shared experience. A community that helps you take your next professional step.

Why we are here

Help people grow. Help good work move forward.

Project work brings together people, decisions, and change. We help professionals build the skills and judgment to navigate that work, whether they are building a foundation, exploring new technology, or growing their influence.

Our learning community brings together people starting out, experienced practitioners, career changers, and leaders. Start with the goal that matters to you, and choose a pathway that supports it.

Our mission

To empower project professionals to lead with confidence, adaptability, and purpose through education that is relevant, inclusive, and future-ready.

The legacy we carry forward

Jim Snyder kept showing up.

James R. “Jim” Snyder helped found the Project Management Institute in 1969 and founded PMI’s Delaware Valley Chapter. Those accomplishments gave project professionals a shared foundation and a community in which to learn, volunteer, and grow.

His contribution continued long after those organizations were established. Jim attended events, supported chapter leaders, talked with members, and shared what he knew throughout his life. He stayed curious, engaged, and connected to the community he had helped create.

That continued commitment is central to the legacy we want The Snyder Center to carry forward.

Why we chose to honor him

We chose to honor Jim because his example gives us a responsibility to keep contributing. Teaching someone, offering guidance, asking a thoughtful question, or opening a door can make a lasting difference. The Snyder Center carries his name to keep that spirit of service and learning active.

Powered by PMI-DVC, we build on that foundation through education and connection. Our pathways bring established project-management practice together with new tools and leadership challenges. We honor Jim by continuing to learn, question, adapt, and help the next generation of project professionals find its way.
